Meet the Artist: Jamie Thornton

Jamie is a well-traveled artist now rooted in Mississippi with her husband, kids, and a crew of beloved fur babies. When she’s not perfecting her one-of-a-kind candles or throwing clay at the pottery wheel, you’ll probably find her with a smutty read in hand (#PoeGirl), arguing over pizza toppings (chicken and pepperoni for the win), or sipping Fireball — her idea of true hydration. She’s also hooked on tattoos and piercings, with each addition acting as a blank canvas to tell more of her story.

That same daring, playful energy fuels her art. What began as a passion for crafting unique, iridescent badassery has now grown into Gypsy Soul Chics. Here, liquor-bottle candles and other wild creations burn unapologetically bright and bold. Looks aren’t everything, though. These aromas will haunt your space in the best way possible (always a conversation starter).
